I want to talk to you about dressing little girls on a budget. I am the first to admit that I get carried away buying a TON of clothes for Bonnie. It’s a thing. The thrill of the hunt is addicting! I love to see how I can spend the least amount of money and still make her look adorable. The beauty of thrifting, yard sale shopping, or clearance shopping for kids clothes is if it gets ruined, no problem! I also love that it leaves room in the budget for investing in quality, small shop clothing [another addiction but more on that in another post]. When I shop for Bonnie, I try to keep to a neutral color scheme and accessorize with bows and shoes.

This dress is from a company called Zara. I love how simple and whimsical their clothing line is for little girls. I also scored these Saltwater sandals [at the same sale!] and accessorized with a bow found on Amazon. Y’all I spent less than $5 on this outfit.

This is a thrift store find that I’m currently obsessed with. It’s from Gap and we all know how good their kids clothes are! Denim is easily dressed up or down so she can go straight from church to the playground. Some cute pink chucks [yard sale score!] and another bow found on Amazon! Outfit total $6…SIX DOLLARS.

Why shop Amazon you ask? They have the most adorable bows for such an affordable price! These are my go-to when I know she’s going to play hard. I don’t mind them getting beat up, because they’re easily replaceable. Again, this leaves room in the budget to shop small for quality bows! I am blown away by their selection. They have just about every style imaginable! You’d better believe this will be in my baby shower arsenal as well.

Remember, #onmondayswethrift so we can all be inspired by each other’s finds!

Happy hunting everyone!

With love,

  1. I love shopping sales for kid’s clothes. I love that I don’t feel like I have wasted a ton of resources for no reason, especially when my kids end up staining them almost instantly. We are a rowdy bunch I guess. Cute finds!

  2. These are such cute outfits for your little! I love finding thrift shop items…I get a lot of my little one’s shoes from thrift shops because they grow out of them so fast.

  3. I’ve never considered checking out Amazon for bows. I tend to prefer shopping directly from a WAHM. I’ve heard Amazon sometimes has unfair policies that hurt small business owners.

    1. Hi Bailey,

Thank you for your input! I make it a goal to shop small when I can. My daughter is rough on her bows and these fit the bill for play time. I didn’t know Amazon has unfair policies. I will look into it!
